When you burn a CD-R disc, it cannot be burned again. But a CD-RW disc can be erased and burned again hundreds of times. (A CD-RW must be erased before it can be reused; you can't just continue burning without erasing.)
- Go to Applications/Utilities and launch the Disk Utility.
- When Disk Utility is running, insert the CDRW, which should show up in the left panel of the Disk Utility window.
- Select the CDRW icon at left, and you should be able to click erase. A quick erase is much, much quicker than a full erase. Full erase is only necessary if you want all the data destroyed rather than just deleted.
- When the erase completes, you may quit Disk Utility. Then burn the CD-RW as usual.
